Incapable

Ok, so this is what I did here. I took a dictionary and opened it to a random page, then took the first word I found on the page. I then put that word in a line in the poem. The dictionary words are bolded.

The flicker in your eyes dies out
Your wounds too deep to mend
Within your rush to reach higher
You lost another friend

The quarrels left you sad and weak
Your falseness falls and dies
Beneath all your lucrative dreams
Lies truth without surprise

Wish I could reincarnate you
The joy you used to bring
Now highly cultured citizen
Pulled by government's string

You see no error in your ways
Your shield is your defense
Wander fields of delphiniums
You rid all that makes sense

Incinerate the thoughtless leaves
Survivors of the fall
Oppress the petals filled with dew
Disciples standing tall

During your rampant violence
Your name you owned was lost
Incapable to right your sins
Buckle under the cost

Are You Thinking Yet?

It's funny, I find, how these things go,
A roundabout circle where nothing does flow,
A statue lacking any reason to show,
A thick book without it's pages.

So why, I ask, are we really here?
Do we truly think that our lives are sincere?
Do we search for a purpose year after year?
Do we know something's going on?

So silly, I say, for us to think,
That we exist so far away from the brink,
That we're not a broken and trailing link,
That nothing can stand in our way.

But you, I know, don't think of these things.
Just riches and jewels and powerful kings,
Just money and glitter and expensive rings,
Just when do you plan on knowing?

Spring in FLA

Glance out my window,
A bird softly sings.
The sweet smell of grass,
Reminds me of spring.

Trees gently swaying,
In the playful breeze.
A couple walks by,
Their feelings at ease.

My teacher then calls,
"Sortez vos devoirs".
But that little glance
Showed how close we are.

I am Your Rock

To me everyone does turn
In hopes I can help ease their pain
No one ever seems to learn
Never have I been truly sane

It hurts to see your despair
As your eyes overflow with tears
I tell you how much I care
And try to rid you of your fears

What about my depression
Lurking inside my troubled mind
Suppressing my aggression
Biting my lip and being kind

It's not easy like you think
To live everyday in a haze
Just to live on the very brink
Thinking in self destructive ways

I cling to my hated life
To avoid hurting those I love
Pain cutting me like a knife
Sacrifice I never dreamed of

Not as strong as you believe
I still rest in a state of shock
But I manage to deceive
I collapse now, I am your rock

This Is Our Song

Humming softly we are here,
Ties too strong to disappear.
Dreams replaying in our heads,
Glitter on the golden threads.

What we share is what we are,
Gently strummed on our guitar.
We are notes in one big chord,
None too small to be ignored.

We have had our share of sin,
We have damaged souls within.
Leave the past and live the now,
Forget not the bonding vow.

Though you may not hear our song,
This is where we all belong.
What we share is what we are,
Gently strummed on our guitar.
